About OpenView Forum International

Who are we?
OpenView* Forum International (OVFI) is a non-profit corporation founded in 1993 by customers of Hewlett-Packard’s OpenView products to represent the interests of HP OpenView users and developers world-wide. Today we have thousands of members representing all areas of Business and Industry. OpenView Forum is an independent corporation, not affiliated with Hewlett-Packard Company.

OpenView Forum Int’l is governed by a membership-elected Board of Directors and operates according to published corporate bylaws and policies. Corporate officers are elected by the Board of Directors.

Volunteers
Most of the work of this orgranization is performed by volunteers. We are always grateful for new energy and resources. There are many ways you can be of service – from program committee duties for the next conference to recruiting articles for the newsletter to helping maintain web content. If you are willing to volunteer some time from your busy schedule, we’d love the help!! Contact us today @ .

Services
OVFI offers a variety of services to our members which support our service goals of advocacy, communication, and education for the OpenView customer and provider community. These services include:

  • an annual week long users conference
  • a quarterly newsletter
  • direct representation to HP through face to face meetings and our electronic requirements survey mechanisms
  • email reflectors on a variety of OpenView and related special interest topics
  • support for local/regional chapter activities and special interest groups
  • provisioning and organization of related technical materials and FAQ’s etc. on our web site

Local/Regional Chapters
OpenView Forum supports user group activities at the local or regional level as well. When you sign up for membership with OVFI, you can elect to participate in regional local chapter meetings that may be availble. This ensures that you have opportunities to directly share OpenView information with others in your area.
